In Cloud Connection, Design Terminal

The flags, which appear again and again during a walk through St. Moritz, make you curious. Curious about what they mean and who is behind it. Freely swinging or attached to house facades they reveal sentence fragments. The always playful lettering on colorful backgrounds shows that they belong together.

CW Mann is the Swiss artist behind the project. Opened on July 7, 2017, the art installation brings a breath of fresh air into the Engadine Valley over the summer months. The 40 language images should inspire the observers to interpret them, to throw a different view on things and to think ahead.

But that's not all: The project relies on the participation of St. Moritz. As many hands-on flags as possible are to be hoisted on ships, balconies or in gardens as of 1 August - there are no limits to creativity. A photo competition will also take place during the installation on Instagram. The winner of the first place receives a "Un Sinn" flag signed by CW Mann.

The Zurich artist discovered us this year in April. She was clear from the beginning that Cloud Connection would be her ideal point of contact for her project. We were immediately enthusiastic about the project, which was intended to enhance the region. As a partner, we helped her to make contacts locally and to design brochures and posters. The result, which can now be viewed in a variety of locations, pleases us very much.
